THE MOVIE DEAL! Screenplay Contest offers prizes and exposure to contestants, plus one amazing GRAND PRIZE: No t since "Project Greenlight" has there been a contest giving an unknown writer an opportunity of this magnitude. The winning writer of The Movie Deal! Screenplay Competition will receive an honest-to-gosh production deal, plus airfare and accommodations to the set of their own film. “ The winner will be offered a chance to have his project thrust immediately into pre-production, via an option and production agreement with an established production company, as well as an ownership position in the project ," says Scott Prestin, Co-Founder.

"We're looking for an original and innovative, yet marketable idea, the kind of film that could garner the success of 'The Blair Witch Project,' 'Napoleon Dynamite' or 'Open Water' says Co-founding filmmaker Craig James Pietrowiak. " These are scripts we wouldn't necessarily have access to because some of these writers don't have representation, which ultimately opens up doors for both us and the authors. " 

"We're committed to finding the best script out there, it doesn't matter what the genre" says Prestin . "We're inviting other production companies to contact us and to get involved. It's our intention to see a second or third place winner get an option or production agreement as well from another company, possibly one of our judges. We just want to see more INDIES get made,” says Pietrowiak.

Filmmaker Scott Prestin is best known for his films '8 of Diamonds' starring Oscar nominee Eric Roberts ( The Dark Knight, Heroes ), which can be rented at your local Blockbuster, as well as the soon-to-be released ' The Devil's Dominoes' starring Daniel Baldwin ( Mulholland Falls ) and Vincent Pastore ( Sopranos ). Producer/Actor Craig James Pietrowiak has won numerous awards for his films and is the creator and director of the television pilot ' Wrigleyville' starring Randy Wayne ( Dukes of Hazzard and Sons and Daughters ), Jackson Davis ( Lonelygirl15 ') and Mark Matkevich ( Dawson's Creek and Quarterlife' ). 

Scott and Craig are currently in pre-production on their $2,500,000 ensemble piece titled 'Chicago Blues' starring William Forsythe ( Once Upon a Time in America ), Armand Assante ( American Gangster ), John Gries ( Napoleon Dynamite ), Daniel Baldwin and other named talent.
