Ink
Tip, the Writers Script Network website,
is designed for writers to place their work. You can place the logline,
synopsis, treatment and/or script for the big screen or television.
We require that you place at least the logline and synopsis.
The
Writers Script Network promotes heavily to Industry Professionals to
use the site.
Prior
to building this site, we surveyed hundreds of industry pros to discover
what they needed in order to use the web to find scripts. We designed
the website accordingly. It is a very detailed site with many features,
as well as being password protected.
Only
Industry Professionals who are registered and are verified by us can
get into the site. Searches can be very detailed so that when an industry
member is looking for your kind of script it will be easy to find. They
can do searches by main genre, sub-genres, time period, locale, budget,
lead roles, writer's citizenship, animation, FX, etc. And many more options
(about 150). Scripts that match the search criteria are the only ones
that come up to view.
Writers
may not view other writer's works.
So
far, through our assistance, 68 writers have gained representation; more
than 125 writers have either sold or optioned their feature scripts or
obtained writing work and 26 screenplay shorts have been sold or optioned.
We are now, every week, getting three scripts sold/optioned or a writer
hired. Our most notable success was John Sullivan who sold 'Rapid' to
Columbia Pictures for 275K against 575K. More details are here:

The
Writers Script Network is getting results like no other site.
We
also send out NewsFlashes to our writers as to what producers are looking
for when they are not able to find what they want on the website. There
is, however, a NEW Preferred Newsletter for writers in which 4 producer
leads (scripts they are looking for) a week will be announced. The cost
is $40 for a six-month subscription.
The
Writers Script Network has about 1,000 producer, agent and manager
members who can search the website.
It
is $40 to place one script for six months. This includes the logline,
synopsis, treatment and/or script as well as your resume. We require
that at least the logline (pitch) and synopsis are placed. (After your
membership is activated there are directions on how you can place everything
yourself from your computer.)
Additionally,
we send out a printed magazine to about 5,000 industry professionals
with loglines (pitches) from writers who have their works on the website.
This is $40 for one logline for one issue.
