DRAMATICA WEEKEND
WORKSHOP
Now in Los Angeles and New York City
(Workshop Outline Below)
Do
you want
to know how stories REALLY work? Do you want to know what four things
every story should have and learn how to use them in your own stories?
Do you want to know why audiences watch the same film or read the same
book over and over? Find the answer to these questions and many more
in an enjoyable, educational, and practical weekend with Dramatica.
Chris
Huntley, Academy Award®-winning software developer and co-creator of
the Dramatica theory of Story, leads a weekend workshop designed as an
introduction to Dramatica, a bridge between "traditional" story
concepts and Dramatica's uniquely practical reinterpretation of those
story concepts.
“I've found that the topics covered in the workshops
are so fundamental that writers are able to apply what they learn
immediately, even if they don't own any Dramatica software. I use short,
in-class writing exercises to turn abstract concepts into real writing
techniques. There's nothing like a bit of practial application to help
a writer apply Dramatica's story insights to his or her own work.”
PREREQUISITES: None. The Workshops are open to all
interested. You do not need to have Dramatica Pro or Writer's DreamKit
to get full value from the workshop.
