The Screenplay Scoop Submission Guidelines

The following are the submission guidelines for Write Brothers, Inc.’s Screenplay Scoop monthly newsletter.

  1. Submissions must be either an article about a writing topic, trend in writing or informative/investigative piece. Please spell check your submission and proof read prior to sending. We are looking for well written and well-edited pieces.

  2. Submit work via email, either included as the body of the email, or attached as an MS Word or Movie Magic Screenwriter document (use Word Processor mode) to editor@screenplay.com. Include your name, email address and phone number with your submission.

  3. Please include a 1-3 paragraph author bio (including any your publishing credits or professional credentials) which will be posted with your work. We will not review your work without an author bio. Feel free to include your email address and your URL if you have a website. We are happy to link to your site.

  4. We reserve the right to reject any material submitted and to make minor edits if accepted. If we are interested in publishing your work and think it requires major edits we will contact you. Sorry, we can't offer any monetary compensation at this time.

  5. By submitting to us you are agreeing to give us the right to use your submission in the Screenplay Scoop newsletter and any of the web sites owned and maintained by Write Brothers, Inc.
