Chat Rooms
Welcome
to the our Chat Room Index. We will be holding moderated Screenwriting
Chats here so check our schedule. We also have public rooms which
will be open all the time. A schedule for the chats will be included
in our monthly Newsletter and or will be posted on our message
board. We will also send out a reminder that a chat is taking place
via our e-mailing list.
If
you're new the chat world, you may want to go to the bottom of
this page to read the "Chat Tips."

There
are two open chat rooms available 24/7. One is the Writers Chat
and the other is the Dramatica Chat. Use these rooms to meet with
other writers to talk about writing or Dramatica, click

time to time, Screenplay.com will invite guest speakers to participate
in live, moderated chats. For more information or to see what's

Chat Transcripts
Transcripts
of past moderated chats are archived and presented for reading
after the event. If you'd like to read through some past chats, click

Chat
Tips
-
Before
entering a chat, type your user name in the "Your name" box
then click on the "Enter room" button. You will enter
the chat room under that "handle." You may also provide
a profile in the "Your profile box before entering the
room. The room works best using I.E. 5.0 or Netscape 4.5 or
higher.

Please
be considerate and respectful of others'opinions, views, feelings,
etc. In addition, "bad" language (hard R or X-rated)
and inappropriate jokes or comments will not be tolerated.
By not following these guidelines you risk being kicked out
and banned from the chat room.

Once
you are logged into the chat room, type your message in the
bottom dialogue box and hit the ENTER key on your keyboard
to present your questions, comments or responses. Above the
dialogue/text box window is a drop down box, "Options," which
will allow you to change the style of your text to standout
from others'.

When
you are finished be sure to click on the "Quit" under
the "Rooms" menu item, before closing your browser
window.
